Hey, my name is David Graham and I am the creator of Lean Body Ignition. The site was created in January 2010 to guide, advise and nuture frustrated over-fat people to eat better, exercise more whilst building the body of their dreams.
Less than 12 months ago I was a massive 40 lbs over-fat, but not any more.
Let me briefly explain my story …
At school I was driven by sport…. 7 days a week I was doing something active outside – football, running, cricket, swimming weight training, etc. This continued into my university years…. complementing (my scarce) studies with frequent gym visits and to the soccer field. I Was Fit And Lean.
Then I got a job…
To start with, that didn’t bother me since I thought that I could never get fat. But gradually the waistline started to expand in direct proportion to the increase in fast food consumption and decrease in physical activity.
That’s when I started to get a little confused… I forgot everything that I knew about creating and maintaining a lean body. With the boom in the health and fitness industry (this is big business), new diets, miracle fat loss pills, low fat convenience foods, cardio machines, fitness DVDs… etc. etc., I didn’t know where to go. I just tried everything – emptied the wallet – bought the T-shirt (and many of them). That was me!
Initial positive results didn’t last too long. Boredom and frustration set in. Temporary is a key word when it comes to dieting. Whether I was on a restrictive diet or getting bored on the treadmill or ‘buzzing’ on the latest fat-loss tabs, I was not enjoying the experience. To Be Honest, It Was Painful, Stressful And All A Little Depressing.
Then I got a family…
They are beautiful… I wouldn’t change them for the world. But I allowed this new lifestyle to seriously affect my health. For the first time in my life I became over-fat – all 40 lbs of it. Exercise came to a standstill. I was eating junk and then eating even more junk – my midnight snacks became midnight feasts. My Confidence And Self-Esteem Were Shot.
I was embarrassed to leave the house (apart from to go to and from work). I was unhappy with just about everything in my life and that affected my relationships. I had got myself in such a vicious downward spiral. Yes I tried to sort things out many times. In fact every day started out to be the day that was going to turn my life around. Each day ended up in miserable failure.
I was completely confused. I had no plan – no strategy – no goals – just a series of poor habits and poor excuses. I had simply lost my way. I had so much information in my head but didn’t know how to apply it. Even more frustrating was that 20 years earlier, I knew exactly how to create and maintain a lean body.
So how did I change…. I needed to re-educate and re-program my mind. To go from confusion to absolute clarity didn’t take that long… but it did need some serious soul searching along the way. I had really let myself down. I came up with – a simple plan….that took me from confusion to clarity. I could start to see what steps I needed to take to realise my lean body goals.
It was a strategy that involved:

A focused mind with a strategy, a plan and clear goals.

An exercise regime that creates lean muscle.

A nutrition plan that is neither restrictive nor expensive.
… all without spending countless hours in the gym or in the kitchen. It was difficult at first – to resist the temptation of fast food chains and getting off my butt to exercise rather than watch the telly. But over time, and especially once I started to see real visual improvements in my physique, I became even more motivated. Bad habits were eliminated from my lifestyle and were replaced with great ones.
There was no turning back now. It was all about building momentum. Achieving my fat loss goals were incredible for me – life changing. It gave me renewed confidence and self-belief…
